GOD'S FAVOUR BY JOY

Scripture Reading - Psalm 5:11-12

11 But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee.
12 For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield. KJV

Notice in Psalm 5 verse 11 the Word of God encourages us to be joyful. We see that three times there is a reference to God’s joy coming through the saint of God. Those who trust in God should rejoice and shout for joy (or we could say praise the Lord). Those who love the Name of Jesus should be joyful too, because we know there is power in that Name. We know that obeying God’s Word brings the Blessing of God into our everyday lives and one of the blessing is favour according to verse 12. This favour is dependent upon you being joyful. No body likes a stick in the mud or a sour-puss. So remember beloved of God, be joyful because you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and God’s favour will be upon you when you need it and even if you don’t need it. In the true church of Jesus people will want to help you because you are family but in the world system you need God’s favour to be successful. If you practice joy as a lifestyle God’s favour is automatic. Amen!
